Your cleanup tip worked on the two servers I had problems with previously. The low spec home one has had two failed reports since the cleanup, one yesterday morning. The higher spec has been fine. Low-spec is Sempron 3000, 1GB, 160GB.

I’ve started to see SBServer after SBServer start having this same problem with not sending out reports. I was beginning to search and wonder if others were having this same problem? I’m running the WSUS clean up wizard now on a couple of the servers. Unfortunately, I don’t have a test-bed server with the problem, so here’s hoping the solutions isn’t worse than the problem.

Are others having this problem? Is there a blog entry about the disappearing Server Monitoring Reports somewhere?

My server met the specs above. I ran the WSUS “Server Cleanup Wizard” multiple times, in backwards order sequentially, in random order, and still no joy. However, after I declined over 18,000 driver updates that had been accepted in the past, turned off all Driver-type updates, and re-ran the cleanup wizard, the server status reports have resumed without any issues.
