This fixed him up

TS does not work after upgrading from SBS 2003 SP1 to SP2 | keyongtech:

Since you cannot RDP SBS from itself, and the SBS LAN NIC does not
listening 3389 port. This will be a SBS RDP service issue. Let’s focus on
the SBS computer configuration.

1. Copy the “termdd.sys” file from the Service Pack 2 cab folder located in
“%WINDOWS%\Driver Cache\i386″ to the “%windows%\system32\drivers”.

2. Please ensure Terminal Services on SBS is started. If it stop, please
start it manually.

3. Restart SBS.

  1. Oh, if ONLY this had worked for me. :-)

I have a 2003 Server that was upgraded from 2000 Server and TS is totally borked. So much so that the Terminal Services service still attempts to run the 2000-way as:

    C:\WINNT\System32\termsrv.exe

    :-(

Oh well, I’ve got LMI on the server for now.

    Susan,
Not sure what you mean “Cannot RDP SBS from itself”?
Since the current ts client dropped /console for /admin the RWW “connect to console session” does not work.
If I need the console remotely I RWW into a ts session on the SBS and then mstsc /admin from that session to get to the console session.
Are you saying that this shouldn’t work?
    Jim
