No Office Web Apps on SBS 2011 Standard

The headline says it all….

Bummer.

So to recap.. if you want Direct Access you need a second server Win2k8r2 in order to do that.  And now Office Web apps are not supported on a domain controller.  Now before you say ..but Susan they AREN’T supported on a domain controller…. honey have you seen what they say about Exchange and SharePoint on the same server?

Needless to say this isn’t the first time I’ve been annoyed.

Sounds like they need to update their marketing material.

They did. They removed Office web apps from the new material.
