Small Business Susan

Would you prefer videos or podcasts?

I’ll be doing biweekly patching recommendations as part of the Third tier/SMB kitchen subscription and a question for those current subscribers and those that are interested in subscribing.  Would you prefer a podcast or a video or a video that you can also download just the audio bits?

I’ll be discussion a SMB view of patching, pointing out the known areas of attack, and know issues with the updates.  I will not be posting it up until Thursday or Friday of the week updates are posted as you don’t see the “dead bodies” until Wednesday or Thursday.

More on the project here:  https://www.thirdtier.net/2013/02/enterprise-solutions-for-smb-is-open-for-business/

We all decided that this new era of ours didn’t need another book, but more of an embracing of all the ways we learn these days.

Podcasts please, you have a wonderful speaking voice!

I’m a big fan of video. Not just screencasts, but seeing who is actually talking. Google Hangout? Pre-recorded. I don’t care. As long as it is educational and entertaining.

I’m a big fan of text. Trying to refer back to some detail I only partially remember and having to watch a whole video (or listen to a whole podcast) instead of being able to use Google or my browser’s “find” function is just such a huge waste of time.

Re: Video or Podcast: I don’t mind either way. If I don’t think the video provides any additional value, then I can always listen to it while working in another browser tab. But PLEASE also provide the content in text form.

Podcasts are best because you can listen to them in the car between clients

I’ve been doing text, video and audio for several weeks now.
