Easy print redirection, not so easy with certain HP printers

Today I was helping to set up a home office setup with a RD Easy print redirection.

Faulting application name: PrintIsolationHost.exe, version:
6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bd3b1
Faulting module name: hp1100su.dll, version:, time stamp:
Exception code: 0xc0000409
Fault offset: 0x000000000001599d
Faulting process id: 0x1414
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf0f25ca581a3c Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\PrintIsolationHost.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\hp1100su.dll
Report Id: 08061450-7b19-11e3-a1ef-9cb654b92b7d

Well… not so easy.  More like beating your head against a wall and you mangle trying to get the printer to work with a universal printer driver to the point that I can’t even print locally anymore.

I know for a fact that this model of Brother will work http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/386637/Brother-HL-2270DW-Wireless-Monochrome-Laser/

And Philip indicates that http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/231615/HP-LaserJet-Pro-P1606dn-Monochrome-Laser/ that one from HP works.

I typically disable the Easyprint driver in these instances – see below for how to do this:
