New Remote Connectivity Analyzer

A couple of days ago, Microsoft announced the new Remote Connectivity Analyzer. You can now test Exchange and Lync using the same web page.


We are excited to announce the new Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. This tool is the result of a combined effort by the teams that created the Lync Remote Connectivity Analyzer and the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer.

We’ve eliminated OCS and Lync from the name and have a new way to access the website: The new tool has all the same great tests for Lync and Exchange available on one website. The previous website redirects to this new site.

Office Visio Stencil for Exchange 2013

The Office Visio Stencil for Exchange 2013, January 2013 version, is now available to download.

Brief Description
This stencil contains Exchange 2013 specific icons to help you create visual representations of Microsoft Exchange 2013 deployments, including on-premises, hybrid, and Office 365.

Creating visual representations of your on-premises, hybrid and Office 365 architectures, including Microsoft Exchange icons is helpful way to communicate your deployment. This Visio stencil provides icons — many depicting servers, server roles, services, and applications — that you can use in architecture diagrams, charts, and posters. These icons are primarily centered around on-premise deployments of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, as well as hybrid Office 365 deployments of Exchange 2013.


Update for Outlook Junk E-mail Filter – January 2013

Microsoft has recently released the January updates for the Outlook 2003/2007/2010 Junk E-mail Filter.

"This update provides the Junk E-mail Filter in Microsoft Office Outlook with a more current definition of which e-mail messages should be considered junk e-mail."

The update is available for Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 (32-bit, 64-bit) or you can use Microsoft Update. As usual the update comes with the corresponding Knowledge Base article:
