GMail

I can see that we, as geeks, are always after the next shiny thing. The recent spam of GMail invites. First Tiernan started off by making people link to his blog site in this entry. THen, Andrew wanted one. Well, Frank Levigne gave him one.
Well, Matthew complained about it. :)

I think Scobleizer got it in this article. Google’s marketing for this is like a true virus. I mean, I have heard the term, a product being viral. But, This is an awesome phenomenon to observe though.

In the last 15 days, there have been 13 distinct posts about GMail and most of them from http://weblogs.asp.net.

I guess, while, most may never use it, I think its the feeling of power that the inviters have over invitees that drives this. All in all, Very funky to observe.

Oh, No thank you, I dont need a gmail account. No, I really dont. Ehhh, Who am I kidding!!! :)
