Increase Internet Bandwidth

Broadband connection are fast. But did you know that you can still increase the speed (bandwidth) of your broadband connection (e.g. Smartbro wireless broadband). You can still speed up your bandwidth by 20% more without cost. Just follow this simple step but be extra carefull because it involves editing your registry.
Because Windows XP seems want to reserve 20% of the bandwidth for its self. Even with QoS disabled, even when this item is disabled. So why not use it to your advantage.

  1. The documentations are incorrects. Pls. see gpedit.msc->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Network->QoS Packet Scheduler->Limit reservable bandwidth comment:

"…If you disable this setting or do not configure it, the system uses the default value of 20 percent of the connection…"

Which is true? The correct measurement  of the bandwidth in the lab.

    Did you present it?

I could only present a live measurement (I think this is a rather heuriristic) with a variable environment of course. Remote site: https://www.tvnetwork.hu/index.php?data_dir=/modules/szolgaltatasok/adsl_sebessegmero.html average speed with/without this post = 2059/1831 kbit/sec.
