OCS Speech Server 2007 Jumpstart

GotSpeech.Net is excited to offer you the OCS Speech Server 2007 Jumpstart.

GotSpeech.Net is always striving to be the best source for information on all things related to Speech Server and to live up to that reputation we are offering this Jumpstart. If you have been curious about how to get started with Speech Server 2007 then now is your chance to do it right. In the Jumpstart you will find Word documents, PowerPoint slides and Labs to step you through the different aspects of MSSS 2007. You will also find the source code that supports the labs.

You can find the files in our download section under OCS Speech Server 2007 Jumpstart. The files are in compressed folders and some are large. If you encounter errors with downloading then let us know and we can split them up into smaller chunks.

We have been working onthis for a while now (updating to stay in sync with the public beta) and I would like to personally thank Michael Dunn as he has carried most of the load on this. Michael has been busy with his own stuff and this just shows how much the folks here at GotSpeech.Net are dedicated to this community.

I also want to thank Microsoft for their help in this and the use of the material.

If you find any errors in the Jumpstart then please let us know and we will correct them.

Enjoy!

Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007 Ignite Tour

I’ll be in San Francisco this week for OCS Ignite. I’m really looking forward to this as this will have lots of lab session and I’ll gain some valuable hands on experience. There are more Ignite events coming up over the next month scattered around the world and if you get an opportunity to attend you should do so.

I’ll be leaving things at GotSpeech in the very capable hands of Brandon and Michael.

Speaking of Brandon, he did an interview with “the gotspeech guy” and in the interview I made an announcement of something big that will be “coming soon”. So make sure you check out Brandon’s podcast on Speech Server Here so that you don’t miss the news. I’m not sure when he will get the interview on line but watch for it.

The GotSpeech Guy will be presenting at TechEd

It’s official now.

Go here https://www.msteched.com/public/sessions.aspx and filter for Unified Communications.

This will be my first TechEd and I’m stoked about this. I’ll also be participating as a Microsoft Technical Expert in the Unified Communications Track area of the Technical Learning Center (TLC).

I’ll also be working in the exhibitor are at the Gold Systems booth. I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to attend other session but I’m really excited about this.

One of my biggest thrills will be to co-present with Michael Dunn. We have exchanged lots of emails and had many IM sessions. I really respect what he is doing and I’m looking forward to working with him on this.

Jacksonville Area Event

Do not miss this Tuesday (April 10th at 6 pm) JAXDUG Architecture SIG, when we will have the first of a series of presentations on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

This instance is a take on SOA Governance and it is presented by Amberpoint.  This is a unique opportunity to learn about SOA governance in general and a vendor’s perspective that can help your company be successful on building and maintaining services.

If you

  • are doing SOA today
  • plan to do SOA
  • want to understand how to maintain control of your services
  • are concerned about keeping visibility and control of your services
  • are concerned about how to aggregate the visibility and control of your services with traditional components
  • are interested in verifying the functionality and performance of new or modified SOA artifacts
  • want to have an easy view inside your messages to analyze them for content, faults and errors
  • want to be able to resubmit or generate messages to help fine tune your web services
  • are looking for a non-invasive way of realizing this benefits (no need to introduce heavy instrumentation inside your code!)

Then, I personally invite you to make time to attend this very informative presentation.  You will walk out with a wealth of information and actionable items you can start using now.

Audience: Systems Architects (solution, infrastructure, enterprise), developers, operations and development managers.
Amberpoint will provide a complimentary copy of Amberpoint Express that you can start using immediately in your projects.
