The cool factor in this is very high as is the quality of the TTS.
As always, enjoy and let me know what you think of it.
GotSpeech.Net is excited to offer you the OCS Speech Server 2007 Jumpstart.
GotSpeech.Net is always striving to be the best source for information on all things related to Speech Server and to live up to that reputation we are offering this Jumpstart. If you have been curious about how to get started with Speech Server 2007 then now is your chance to do it right. In the Jumpstart you will find Word documents, PowerPoint slides and Labs to step you through the different aspects of MSSS 2007. You will also find the source code that supports the labs.
You can find the files in our download section under OCS Speech Server 2007 Jumpstart. The files are in compressed folders and some are large. If you encounter errors with downloading then let us know and we can split them up into smaller chunks.
We have been working onthis for a while now (updating to stay in sync with the public beta) and I would like to personally thank Michael Dunn as he has carried most of the load on this. Michael has been busy with his own stuff and this just shows how much the folks here at GotSpeech.Net are dedicated to this community.
I also want to thank Microsoft for their help in this and the use of the material.
If you find any errors in the Jumpstart then please let us know and we will correct them.
I’ll be in San Francisco this week for OCS Ignite. I’m really looking forward to this as this will have lots of lab session and I’ll gain some valuable hands on experience. There are more Ignite events coming up over the next month scattered around the world and if you get an opportunity to attend you should do so.
I’ll be leaving things at GotSpeech in the very capable hands of Brandon and Michael.
Speaking of Brandon, he did an interview with “the gotspeech guy” and in the interview I made an announcement of something big that will be “coming soon”. So make sure you check out Brandon’s podcast on Speech Server Here so that you don’t miss the news. I’m not sure when he will get the interview on line but watch for it.
It’s official now.

This will be my first TechEd and I’m stoked about this. I’ll also be participating as a Microsoft Technical Expert in the Unified Communications Track area of the Technical Learning Center (TLC).

I just got word that my good friend Sara Morgan has been award MVP for OCS. You may recognize Sara as the only person to publish a book covering Speech Server. She is the author of Building Intelligent .NET Applications.
You can read what Sara has to say about this honor on her website.
