After having run Internet Explorer 11 successfully on a Toshiba NB250, a Lenovo G780 and an AMD 939 machine all running Windows 7, only two are still ok. The replacement for the AMD 939, an HP Pavilion M9500Y, freshly installed with Windows 7 Ultimate, will run it but very poorly.
At first launch, IE 11 is fine and will accept text from the keyboard. On second launch, it lags, anything between 5 and 30 seconds. before even one character appeared. So I uninstalled IE 11 and installed 10 instead.
IE 10 displayed NO issues at all, and neither did Firefox. I tried once more to install IE 11 and also every fix available but it still won’t run properly.
So for now, it is IE 10 or nothing, and I can now see why some don’t like IE 11.
An update on the above..
IE 10 will not now run properly, and all of the fixes marked as answers in the MS Forums don’t get close to fixing it.
So for now, and I mean it this time, it is FIREFOX or nothing. I flatly refuse to run a complete re-install of Windows, which is looking like the only fix for the problem than MIGHT work..
