I am trying to move/copy/upload many documents into a document library.

During the process, the creation date is set to the date when I copy/upload and not the creation date of the original document.  We cannot lose the original creation date.  Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have done this, but it requires writing code.  You could use my SPExport tool (you can find it at http://mindsharpblogs.com/james ).  It has an import feature that will bulk upload a folder into a sharepoint library and preserve the creation date.  The tool however must run on the sharepoint server.  I also have full source listed in case you want to write something to better suit your needs.

If you don’t feel like writing code – check out the Tzunami Deployer at http://www.tzunami.com/products.htm
