Public Announcement

After months of preparation and testing we are proud to announce that Small
Business Server 2006 for Linux has been released today. Small Business
Server 2006 for Linux has similar functionality as MS SBS 2005 but runs on
the open source Operating System Linux.

Later this weekend we will make the first ISO image available of
sourceforge.net. This first version will upgrade all previous versions of
SBS made by Microsoft. You will not loose any data. Just popin the CD and
run.

Best of all…it is free! No costs involved, no nothing!

Best regards,
Mariette Knap

One Response to Press release: Small Business Server 2006 for Linux

  1. Alun Jones says:

Isn’t SBS for Linux already available? Surely by now some frothing Linux supporter is putting together a list of the hundred or so applications and couple of dozen websites that will allow you to build your own SBS replacement.
Of course, there’s none of those horrifying wizards – you have to edit INF files to configure it – but it’s all free, open and standards-based. Except for the parts that aren’t.
