Reading this article and getting a survey from www.warrillow.com regarding the “Small Business Trends in the US” makes me wonder if there really is that much “buzz” in small business or is it that vendors are just realizing we’re down here?

I mean… we’ve been down here for years.. why are we suddenly “hot” down here?

So if you were asked the following what would you say?

What are the top trends you believe will have the biggest impact on U.S. small businesses in the next 3 years?
Which of the following best describes the change in your company’s total marketing budget to small businesses in 2008?

Warrilow doesn’t exactly understand the market either does it? The marketing budget numbers I had to choose from don’t exactly match the total revenue of a 5 person company not to mention the marketing budget.

  2. Susan – good observation and questions. I’m thinking that SMB is getting mature and that’s why the vendors are discovering it?!?!

  3. Hi Susan,
The same over here in The Netherlands:
SMB and therfor SBS 2003 is hot. I think it’s a simple case of numbers. The SMB have the biggest potential in pure numbers. There is no real knowledge why 90 percent of the SMB have no SBS server. Regards, Leen Kleijwegt
