So Kevin hit an issue where he ran the CEICW on a brand new SBS 2003 computer and hit this:
Error 0x80070057 returned from call to Adding routers IP address to
the intranet zone().
So how did he fix this? Two things.
He imported the registry key from a working computer
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\ZoneMap
And then turned off Enhanced IE and bingo.. the CEICW wizard worked.
I encountered the same problem a few weeks ago when setting up a new HP ProLiant server with the latest version of the HP SmartStart CD (perhaps it’s a bug?). I haven’t struck this problem with earlier versions of the HP SmartStart CD.
Thanks so much for shedding light on this! Like Simon, I’m working with an HP ProLiant assisted with SmartStart. If that is the culprit, I have another name….and it ain’t smart.
Had the same problem, but didn’t have to import the registry key. Simply uninstalling IE enhanced security configuration worked for me.
