Just found out today that on Vista you can go into the Start button, right mouse click on properties, launch the Start menu tab

Then go into customize.

See that “Printers” and “Run” commands?  Check them and then they will pop up on your start menu.

P.S. I knew run was there… didn’t realize the printers button was hiding under there as well.  Duh!

But you don’t need a Run dialog in Vista since the Start Menu search dialog functions as the same thing….
