I don’t get Dell’s preinstalled configuration.

They are specing a base of 8 gigs for SBS essentials.

Why do you need 8 gigs of ram for SBS essentials?  I don’t get it?

  1. I guess the price difference between 4GB and 8GB is negligible these days, and who knows what an end-user might install on their server (LOB app?).

    I’d rather have 8GB than 4GB, even if I don’t think I’l need it for a while 🙂

  2. SeanPT says:

Because 8gb of memory is something like $40?

  3. Joao says:

It would be a crime for a server with these specs work with 4gb of ram, nowadays any home computer have it
