Traveling with a safety net

So i’ll be writing this up formally for Windowssecrets but one of the things that I don’t like to give up while traveling is technology, and on a cruise ship, well the cruise ship doesn’t make that easy.  I’ve been very pleased with out Xcomglobal mifi units have delivered in Italy, Spain and France.  It has delivered unlimited wireless service while we’ve been on shore excursions.  This has been handy for when we’ve been um… well… slightly lost and needed google maps to figure out how to get from point a to point b.  We are our own wireless hotspot for our phones as we travel.

While the cruise ship is in port and even while it’s slightly offshore or pulling in I can still hang off the Internet.

Bottom line if you prefer to travel with a geek safety net, I would highly recommend Xcomglobal’s service.

(and no they didn’t pay me to post this either, I’m a paying customer)

P.S. Still haven’t seen a Win8 device in the wild yet.
