Connect routine not working in R2?

Please be aware that at this time there is an issue with downloading the connector software for R2.  Unlike prior versions, it actually goes out to a Microsoft Download site to pull in the connector software.At this time manually download the connector software from that download location.Microsoft has been informed. Also be aware that if you need to uninstall the connector software, it’s not listed in programs and features but in installed software like an update would be.

Update:  10/4/2013 – the download site has been republished so the issue should be fixed now.  But Lyle’s blog showcases an excellent how to debug issues with connect routine.
