Windows 8.1 RWA and 404

From the mailbox…

”  Installed Windows 8.1 on home computer, now can’t access Remote Web
Access on office server running SBS 2011 (I am administrator). Had no
problem with W8. After logging on in IE 11 I see the RWA page very
briefly, then a page with message:
Server Error

404 – File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Can use Chrome, however. But Chrome Remote Desktop involves a downloaded
rdp file, which I find confusing and strange, and so will my users. How
can I fix? Thanks. “

Put the url for the web site in the trusted site zone.

Put the url for the web site into compat mode.

Then it will work.

    great post THANKS

  2. 8.1 Enterprise x64 on two machines cannot access SBS2011 Essentials after logon.

I opened a case with MSFT thinking it was all of RWW. Found out Win 8 and 7 work just peachy.
