Starting in Windows 8.1 Update, shared edges of multi-monitor setups have a sticky edge to help make the charms bar and scroll bars easier to use.
When you move the pointer slowly across to the other monitor, it will briefly stick at the shared edge between the monitors before crossing over.
If you move the pointer quickly across to the other monitor, the shared edge between the monitors will not be sticky giving you a smooth crossing.
While this feature may not be an issue for many, you may like to not have sticky edges enabled at all.
This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable sticky edges in a multi-monitor setup for only your user account in Windows 8.1 Update.
