How to Turn On or Off Cross-device Copy and Paste in Windows 10 Your Phone app

Linking your Android phone to your PC lets you switch seamlessly between your phone and PC.

Cross-device copy and paste is supported on Android devices that are running One UI version 2.1.

Cross-device copy and paste allows the Your Phone app to to access and transfer content you copy and paste using the same shortcuts you normally use on your Android phone and Windows 10 PC. Use Cross-device Copy and Paste to easily copy text from your compatible Galaxy phone to your connected PC.

It is only possible to copy text and images between your devices currently. Images above 1MB in size will be resized. You can copy content and paste it into a Secure Folder, but you can’t copy and paste content from a Secure Folder onto your PC. Copying something from a Secure Folder will still replace any content you have on your PC clipboard.

This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off Cross-device copy and paste for the Your Phone app in Windows 10.

How to Enable or Disable Clipboard Sharing with Windows Sandbox in Windows 10

Windows Sandbox provides a lightweight desktop environment to safely run applications in isolation. Software installed inside the Windows Sandbox environment remains “sandboxed” and runs separately from the host machine.

A sandbox is temporary. When it’s closed, all the software and files and the state are deleted. You get a brand-new instance of the sandbox every time you open the application.

Starting with Windows 10 build 20161, a new group policy setting was added that enables or disables clipboard sharing with the sandbox.

If you enable or do not configure this policy setting, copy and paste between the host and Windows Sandbox are permitted.

If you disable this policy setting, copy and paste in and out of Sandbox will be restricted.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable clipboard sharing with Windows Sandbox to copy and paste between the host Windows 10 and Windows Sandbox for all users.
