How to Enable or Disable Open News and Interests on Hover in Windows 10

Starting with Windows 10 build 21286, Microsoft introduced news and interests on the taskbar.

With news and interests on the Windows taskbar, you get quick access to an integrated feed of dynamic content such as news and weather that updates throughout the day.

You can personalize your feed with relevant content tailored for you. Instead of switching between apps or your PC and phone to stay up to date with the news and interests you care about – seamlessly peek into your feed directly from the taskbar anytime you want throughout your day.

Starting with Windows 10 build 21332, news and interests on the taskbar will open via hover or click.

Starting with Windows 10 21354, you now have the ability to deselect “Open on hover” in the “News and interests” taskbar options to enable or disable the open on hover option.

If you open news and interests by hovering the pointer on its weather icon on the taskbar, news and interests will automatically close when the pointer is moved off of news and interests.

If you open news and interests by clicking on its weather icon on the taskbar, news and interests will stay open until you click on anything else causing news and interests to close.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable open news and interests on hover for your account in Windows 10.
