Sonic Solutions to Acquire Roxio’s Consumer Software

Here’s a bit of an interesting deal.  Sonic has acquired Roxio’s software division.  This would include Easy CD/DVD Creator or Easy Media Creator, whatever theyare calling it now.  Roxio now plans to focus on Napster, and their corporate name is now Napster too.  Now traded under NAPS on the NASDAQ. This seems like a good place for Roxio to go.  IMO Nero was killing Roxio’s burning software, just behind Roxio’s burning software was Sonic’s RecordNow.  Every HP product you purchase now comes with RecordNow, I remember a few years ago it was Easy CD Creator. Howto Find the Video Codec Used In An AVI

This is a very simple process and can be done using the GSpot Codec Information Tool.  Just download the program and install it.  Now go into your Start Menu and open the program. Select File | Open and select your AVI file Look for the FourCC code for the file’s Video Codec Visit the FourCC website and find out who develops that codec You can now go to that developers website to download your codec.  You can also visit the Codec section of wmplugins. Guide To Error C00D1163 In Windows Media Player

Error C00D1163 is  “Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a problem with digital copyright protection”.  There have been a number of different solutions and workarounds given, if none of these apply to you, ask the maker of your DVD decoder about it.  They should be the ones addressing this, and from what I have found, they are not. Family Guy Back On Fox!! Yay!
