  1. I purchased a Control4 system for my home and had a dealer in my house for 3 months trying to get things to work correctly. I went to control4 for support, but got none. I have been exremely disappointed in not the product. Atleast they stand behind their dealers(ha). I was also told they provide a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Turns out it’s parts and “in-house” labor(ie parts only. Buyer beware..I would advise anyone who asks to look at another system, like Netstreams Digilinx…It does everything control4 does and more(incl intercomm and IP cam integration)…Oh well, live and learn.

  2. A similar Control4 system can be deployed for well under $15,000 and I certainly wouldn’t put it in the same category as AMX/Crestron. But it is comparable it the Life|Ware offering. The primary difference between the two is the $3500 you pay for the Life|Ware software.

The success or failure of a Control4 system is heavily dependent on proper programming and a stable network, without either of these things the product will fail.
