How to configure Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator on a Windows Server 2003 cluster

Yes the famous 301600 article , revision 14 was recently released: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;301600 There has been much to do over this one. Basically its never a good idea to put more then more application in a group. You can put MSDTC in the Cluster group if you really don’t use MSDTC. What uses MSDTC? SQL Server may have applications that use it. Exchange Server 2003 needs MSDTC to install.
