Using Contacts to forward mail in Exchange Server…

It’s odd that you sometimes read a specific bit of information and later on you simply forget about it…then when you need it you are surprised to rediscover it again.

This happened to me a couple of days ago:
If you need to forward mail to someone using your Exchange Server you can create a mail enabled contact for him. The main SMTP address should be the E-mail that is forwarded to and a secondary E-mail address should be one that comes from your organization.

When someone sends an E-mail to the company alias the routing engine is smart enough to route the message to the main SMTP address.
