    Here are some steps you can take to protect yourself. Protection services are OK, they are only going to work if your identity has been stolen. I agree with Brian Krebs and recommend a credit freeze. I’ve had one on mine for almost 2 years with no noticeable impact. A lot of articles complain about the “hassle”. Putting one on takes about 10 minutes. Yeah, you have to unfreeze and then refreeze (with a possible charge), but isn’t your identity protection worth it??
