    April 1st, 2018 by

Sorry about that… It was a choice of Pina Coladas on the beach in Punta Cana or posting on the blog. Guess which one won…. 🙂

    Security Mailer V18 #12

    • Browser security updates for Firefox, Firefox ESR, Thunderbird, Pale Moon
    • Cisco security advisories
    • OpenSource – updated versions for Samba and Apache Struts, Linux updates
    • Microsoft update revisions, buggy patch, review of updates, Windows updates and AV software
    • General Security reviews last weeks’ vulnerabilities and covers new Nmap release
    • If you have been having problems with getting Windows updates since January, please read the Microsoft section as it may be related to your AV software. Microsoft has changed their blocking rules and criteria yet again.

    Security Mailer V18 #13

    • Apple update barrage; browser updates for Firefox, Firefox ESR, Pale Moon
    • Cisco Security Advisories
    • Open source – updates for Apache Server, Drupal, Linux updates
    • Microsoft fixes own 0-day
    • General Security review of last week’s vulnerabilities
    • Be sure to check the Microsoft section – the 0-day that they mistakenly created is a very serious critical 0-day issue that is so simple to exploit that it is already being incorporated in exploit kit updates, and the fix released on Thursday needs to be applied to 64-bit Windows 7 and 2008 R2 servers ASAP.
