If you have a Qualcomm WiFi chip, be sure to have the latest drivers before installing W10 1903

Windows 10 Losing Connectivity From Outdated Wi-Fi Drivers

“Microsoft says that computers with Qualcomm wireless network adapters might suffer from sporadic loss of Wi-Fi connectivity after installing the Windows 10 May 2019 Update because of out-of-date network drivers.

Windows users who want to update to Windows 10 version 1903 can install the latest driver version for their Qualcomm Wi-Fi network card by downloading and applying the up to date Wi-Fi driver available from their device’s manufacturer (OEM).”

Some AMD computers unable to install Widows 10 (1903)

    May 25th, 2019 by

Windows 10 May 2019 Update Not Installing on Some AMD Systems

“The Windows 10 May 2019 Update does not install on systems powered by AMD Ryzen or AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors with AMD RAID drivers prior to 9.2.0.105 and configured in SATA or NVMe RAID mode.

As explained by Microsoft in a support document published today, when users will try to do a clean install of Windows 10 version 1903 or update the OS by applying the Windows 10 May Update, the installation will stop and the following error will be displayed:

AMD Ryzen™ or AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ configured in SATA or NVMe RAID mode.
A driver is installed that causes stability problems on Windows. This driver will be disabled. Check with your software/driver provider for an updated version that runs on this version of Windows.

This happens because the AMD RAID drivers on computers with AMD Ryzen or AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors are incompatible with the Windows 10 May 2019 update released three days ago, on May 21.”

    Windows release health dashboard

“As part of our commitment to increasing transparency, the new Windows release health dashboard is now live, offering timely information on the current-roll out status and known issues (open and resolved) across both feature and monthly updates. The new dashboard provides a single page for each currently supported version of Windows so you can quickly search for issues by keyword, including any safeguard holds on updates, see the current status of each issue, and find important announcements. In addition, you can easily share content via Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and email, and even use Dark mode (the same popular feature recently introduced in Windows 10). Watch a walk-through on all the new dashboard features in this video.”
