Micro$oft cares little to nothing about the hundreds of thousands who support their barely adequate software. As more people have moved to mobile devices their market share is slowly declining, and they will be a footnote in another decade or two. A victim of their own arrogance.
If you have a technet subscription, it will probably have been the last one you were going to buy anyway.
Good riddance to them and their jobs.
