The 64-bit version of the directory synchronization tool is now available.
The 64-bit version of the directory synchronization tool is now available. The 64-bit version now uses Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) 2010 as the underlying synchronization engine. FIM is installed silently when you run Setup.
To download the 64-bit version of the directory synchronization tool from the Office 365 portal
https://portal.microsoftonline.com/DirSync/DirectorySynchronization.aspx
Note the dates and Size, the x64 version from dirsync.exe to dirsync.x64.exe
Also, I shutdown the x86 server (instead of uninstalling)
- In addition, you can not install x64 DirSync for Office 365 on a SharePoint 2010 Server due to the configuration of UPA/UPS and FIM
