Utah SharePoint Saturday February 28, 2015

SPS Utah 2015SharePoint Saturday is a free community‐focused SharePoint and Office 365 event dedicated to educating and engaging members of the local technical community. This event draws upon the expertise of SharePoint IT Professionals, Developers and Solutions Architects who come together to share their real world experiences, lessons learned, best practices, and general knowledge with others. We’ve got local, national, and even international speakers lined up for some incredible sessions.

The event will run from 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, February 28th, at the University of Utah’s beautiful new Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building located at 1655 Campus Center Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84112. Easy access to Utah’s award-winning public transit commuter rail (Trax) and bus stations is a short five-minute walk away. We’ve even arranged free parking right next to the building for our event! (See event location details.)

A light breakfast as well as a lunch will be provided (register soon so we can ensure quantity), with raffles at the end of the day. There will be six content tracks—End User, Developer, Administrator/IT Pro, Business, SQL/BI/Search, and Office 365—from which attendees may select the topics which most closely align with their job function or area of interest. Each session will last 75 minutes and range from introductory, 100‐level content to highly‐technical, 300 and 400‐level “expert” sessions.

We’ve got sessions and fun! Join us for #ShareSki the day before on The Greatest Snow on Earth®

(we’re praying for more of the great white stuff) or after the event for #SharePint. More information to come. For all the latest information, follow us on Twitter (@SharePointUtah or #SPSUtah), Facebook, or the SPS Events web site.

Business Intelligence in Microsoft® SharePoint® 2013

Business Intelligence in Microsoft SharePoint 2013

Gain the skills to implement BI solutions

Take control of business intelligence (BI) with the tools offered by SharePoint 2013 and Microsoft SQL Server 2012. Led by a group of BI and SharePoint experts, you’ll get step-by-step instructions for understanding how to use these technologies best in specific BI scenarios—whether you’re a SharePoint administrator, SQL Server developer, or business analyst. My Session provides an overview of the new features available to business users and the knowledge they need to start building their own Dashboards using the tools they already know Excel to implement Business Intelligence features they may not have used previously like SQL Analysis Service, SQL Reporting Services, PowerView, PowerPivot, and Excel Services

I hope to see all my friends in Utah
