I just came back from visiting Toys”R”Us as another disappointed customer. Their semi-monthly paper advertisement contained a Sportspower “My First Trampoline With Enclosure” for $79.99. So what’s the issue? It’s out of stock. None of the stores within 60 miles currently have them in stock. However, the warehouse that services ToysRUs.com does — for $99.99 (plus $18-$19 shipping). It’s amazing that after 10+ years, the gap hasn’t been filled between online, ecommerce retail and store retail. Sure some stores have, such as Best Buy, but their prices and stock have other issues. Infragistics, a User Interface Components company, has released a new UX Pattern website that allows users to view various patterns and submit their own to the library. The site can be found at http://quince.infragistics.com/. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I’d recommend it. It’s a great way to browse patterns or even to showcase certain design capabilities to end users.

I was reading a Robert Scoble post about why Google Latitude product is receiving more attention than Yahoo SearchPad. I totally agree with him. After reading his post about his interview and watching the video, I’ve devised a list of items that’s wrong with SearchPad: Where’s our developer API? I, for one, would like to see how I can integrate with this functionality and use it with my own sites. Where’s the integration with sites like Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, FriendFeed, etc?
