DDK MVP Dinner

I just spent an immensely interesting evening with a group of DDK MVPs and Microsoft folks – good wine, great food, and great conversation. I’m reminded again that in general, Microsoft manages to attract smart and interesting people to build its products.

Not playing anything at the moment, but The Shins’ Chutes Too Narrow has been running through my head all day, much to the annoyance of my travelling companions.

  1. I didn’t make it to the DevCon/Hec due to moving to CA from the north east. I missed the dinner. What do you mean by "attract smart and interesting people to build its products"? Were they recruiting you?

  2. Haha… no, they weren’t recruiting me. I’m just always struck by the fact that the particular Microsoft teams that I’ve gotten to hang around for a few years (mostly kernel-related) seem to be pretty cool.

I’m sure there are lots of cool places to work. Microsoft, to my initial surprise, seems to be one of them.
