There are reports that IE8 will not start fast if user’s system is immunized using Spybot S&D.  I able to reproduce this in Vista and XP.

There is report of high-CPU usage when Spybot –S&D immunization is enabled. I able to reproduce this in XP.

There is also report that IE8 will not load fast or it will hang if restricted sites exists in IE Restricted Sites zone, e.g. using IE-SPYAD and I able to reproduce this also in XP and Vista.

Time for the authors to check their protection tools for IE8 compatibility.  For now, users who want IE8… should disable the immunization and IE-SPYAD.  For users who prefer the protection over IE8, stay first with IE7.

A “szokásos” élmények helyett örömmel láttam, hogy ez az első olyan MS kliens oprendszer, amelybe alapvetően integrált . és nem utólag letölthető/installálható – más platformokon (és hálisten az MS server oprendszereiben rendszeresített) már megszokott shell és parancssori nyelv.

Ma elmentem lottózni, oda, ahova Petivel jártunk, a volt orosz laktanyához.

Persze átalakítás miatt zárva volt.

Eddig nem is vettem észre, hogy a volt “szputnyik” helyén egy autókereskedés lett, a másik oldalt meg egy  “Édenkert” nevű közért.

Szépen vagyunk.

Hozzátenném, hogy a volt ruszki tisztilakásokat az ’56-os megviselteknek utalták ki.

Végre az a rohadék nap az asztalomra süt kora délelőtt, úgyhogy nem látom a monitoromat. Azért sem engedem le a redőnyt.

Mert egy rendes családban minden gépen ott figyel a Process Explorer, Process Monitor és társai.

A few weeks ago my wife complained that her Vista desktop was not responding to her typing or mouse clicks. Given the importance of the customer, I immediately sat down at the system to troubleshoot.  It wasn’t completely hung, but extremely sluggish. For example, the mouse moved and when I clicked on the start button the start menu opened after about 30 seconds. I suspected that something was hogging the CPU and likely could have resolved the problem simply by logging off or rebooting, but knew that if I didn’t determine the root cause and address it, she’d likely be calling on my technical support services again in the near future. In any case, stooping to that kind of troubleshooting hack is beneath my dignity. I therefore set out to investigate.

My first step was to run Process Explorer to see which process was using the CPU.
