Have you ever heard of..

.. AUDIT MODE? I must admit that I hadn’t, haven’t.. 🙁

Anyway, something called ‘Audit mode’ in Windows 7 has been stopping Windows 10 from installing. So, this is how to eliminate Audit Mode.

To turn OFF the Audit Mode in the Windows 7, follow the steps :

1. Go to the Start -> Run.

2. Type “regedit” and press the Enter.

3. Find and press right-click on the related registry key’s for your an operating system:

4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\State Select Modify.

5. Remove the value and Press the OK button.

6. Re-boot your computer system for the changes to take an effect.

Did the registry edit work? No, it didn’t, so I will have to try something entirely different.

Also, there are still SIXTY FOUR more updates to go. That’s not far short of FIVE HUNDED in total. I really do hate Windows 7. One has to go back way too far, 2009, in order to get a full and properly working Windows 7.
