.. and all because of some really stubborn malware picked up yesterday. I am pretty good at removing it 99.99% of the time, but this one stumped me.
So, looking to do a clean install for a while, I bit the bullet and backed up the most important data that I would need to re-construct the system, and here I am again.. 🙂
The install went well and passed by fairly quickly, but I have been left with one or two operational issues that I didn’t really have before.
Issue #1.. IE11 and Outlook now behave like Edge was doing, that is appearing any size they like when started.
Issue #2.. Samsung Kies is particularly annoying because it partially hides its task bar underneath the Windows 10 main bar, which means setting the Windows 10 bar to auto-hide.. 🙁
Issue #3.. I have setup FOUR accounts in Outlook, but only THREE are showing even though I can get mail sent to all of them. I have run an Office repair, but have yet to try a re-install of the ‘missing’ account..
More to come.. 🙂
The UPDATE:
Issue #1 is still an issue
Issue #2 was resolved by re-installing Samsung Kies in Windows 8 compatibility mode
Issue #3 was resolved by removing and resetting the rogue account
