Windows 10 annoyances.. (Updated)

The Mail app..

There appears to be no way to remove an account, and no way to bulk delete email that is no longer relevant. If there is a way to do either, I apologise for not looking more into it. If there is no way to do either, please place developers who know something about the older email clients in charge, because the current bunch appear to be partly clueless..

The Lock Screen..

I like the lock screen but for a couple of issues.

Issue #1.. On my desktop, time shows as 24hr, but on the smaller screened Netbook, it doesn’t and won’t no matter what I do..

Issue #2.. Unchecking all of the notification stuff in Settings > System > Notifications still doesn’t stop the Lock Screen from delaying a unread mail number, a bogus unread mail number at that..

Maintaining Windows size and position settings..

Windows 10 is NOT the only Windows variation which at times, sometimes very protracted, is incapable of setting and keeping the Windows sizes and positions. Adding insult to injury, there are some programs like the early Samsung Kies (the only one which will work with my early smartphone) which have no traditional provision for setting at all !!

I have to move the Windows Task bar from top to bottom every time that I use Kies, and have had to do this for other programs which insist on aligning with the very top of the screen.

Question.. why can’t the area UNDERNEATH the Windows task bar be protected such that NOTHING can crawl underneath it ??

The Update..

I get it now. If you set up the Mail app with the same Microsoft account as you use to sign into Windows, your are stuck with it, but if you add other accounts, you can remove them.

I have also learned how to make signatures stick in the new app, so I will close down Windows Live Mail for now.. 🙁
