If you read my last post, you will know that I have just bought a keyboard which is probably going to be discontinued by the manufacturer in the not so distant future.
The keyboard in the MK710 set is VERY basic. There isn’t a feature on it which does NOT appear on the Logitech Access keyboard of thirteen years ago. The most basic drivers would keep this keyboard running, and that is a good thing.
My computer case is a Coolermaster CM690 II with the extra purchase of the USB3.0 header top panel. I don’t have USB3.0 because my present motherboard doesn’t support it, but I am ‘case ready’. I was lead to believe that the CM690 was going to be discontinued and I wanted it to be ready for anything, but Coolermaster didn’t discontinue it at all. It is still made in the older versions and there is now a 690 III !!!
The worst is that the X-Port on the top has not worked for ages and is the ONLY reason that I bought the case in the first place. I will replace the case before I ever consider replacing the entire top just to get the X-Port working again. It is an awkward job at best, and not cheap either. There is a lot to be said for going ‘basic’.
