Windows 7 RC

As you are no doubt aware Windows 7 RC is available for download from TechNet\MSDN.  General availability starts next week.

The download was very slow ‚Äď guess a few other people wanted to download it as well ūüôā

I did an upgrade from Vista SP1.  It does take the several hours you are warned about.  Apart from some confusion on the wording of the compatibility report that caused me to inadvertently restart everything seemed to have gone through smoothly & the applications all seem to be working.  PowerShell updated itself and works

What I hadn’t realised until today is that the RC of Windows 2008 R2 is also available.  Are we looking at a simultaneous release of client and server OS like we saw with Windows 2000?
