PowerShell Summit Europe 2015–topic submissions
Posted by: richardsiddaway | January 6, 2015 Comments Off on PowerShell Summit Europe 2015–topic submissions |Topic submissions for the PowerShell Summit Europe are still open. If you want to be considered as a speaker please submit your topic very soon.
At the moment there aren’t enough submissions to enable us to put on a quality event. The 2014 European Summit was an excellent event with many good sessions – now is the time to submit your sessions. We need your sessions.
We have a policy of accepting sessions from new speakers as well as established experts. It’s not who you are but the quality of the session that counts.
Details on how to submit session proposals are available here
http://powershell.org/wp/2014/11/24/call-for-presentations-for-powershell-summit-europe-2015/
Please submit your proposals soon as we can’t run the European PowerShell Summit without them

DSC advanced scripting
Pester
Test Driven Deployment with Pester
Deep dive integration of .NET and Win32API with PowerShell
Could you provide a session on one of these or another topic?
We will have a number of established speakers and PowerShell personalities attending but at all of the powershell.org Summits we like to take the opportunity to encourage new speakers.
If you’re not sure of a topic’s suitability or whether you should submit please get in touch and I’ll be happy to discuss
PowerShell Summit Europe 2015 – – topics to include
Posted by: richardsiddaway | November 25, 2014 Comments Off on PowerShell Summit Europe 2015 – – topics to include |Are you planning on attending the PowerShell Summit Europe 2015. If so what topics would you like to see covered. The Summit is deliberately pitched at a high level so you won’t find beginner level content.
If there’s a topic you’d like to be included in the agenda – leave a comment explaining what it is and why you think it would make a good Summit topic. No promises but we’ll see what we can do
PowerShell Summit Europe 2014 – – reasons to attend 1..7
Posted by: richardsiddaway | June 21, 2014 | No Comment |With the opportunity to register for the first PowerShell Summit in Europe fast approaching you may be looking for reasons you can use to convince your boss to let you go. These are just some of the reasons you should attend:
Excellent sessions - our sessions are deliberately kept short and focussed. There’s no time for the speaker to waffle and pad with only 45 minutes. You get for information fro your money this way. The speakers are acknowledged experts in their areas with years of experience using PowerShell. We emphasise code over slides you get to see PowerShell in use – not just a long list of PowerPoint slides
Meet some the world’s foremost PowerShell experts – the speakers remain available throughout the whole conference. Our sessions aim to be interactive so you can ask questions and even provoke a discussion.
Get your questions answered – the Summit will be attended by members of the PowerShell team and a significant number of PowerShell experts such as PowerShell MVPs. They will be more than happy to answer your questions. If you can’t get your PowerShell question answered at a PowerShell Summit there probably isn’t an answer.
Talk to people with similar problems to solve – the attendees are all PowerShell users – this is not a conference to attend if you have mastered at least the basics of PowerShell. Many of them will have similar problems, and even have the solution. The PowerShell community loves to share. This is an opportunity talk to those people and find your answers.
Contribute to a community resource – become a member of the PowerShell Team for a night. We will be solving one of the PowerShell Teams wish list items in a special evening event. Work with other PowerShell experts to create a resource that you can use. Its amazing how many learning points come out of these activities.
Get additional AWPP benefits – the conference is one of your AWPP benefits – http://powershell.org/wp/association-for-windows-powershell-professionals/ – take advantage of the script review process to get additional problems solved
Become better at using PowerShell – learn new techniques that you can apply. The demo code from the speakers will be available so you can use and adapt to help solve your problems.
You won’t find a better 3 days of PowerShell related activity. Hope to see you there
The agenda for the PowerShell Summit Europe 2014 is available on line. See the link from http://powershell.org/wp/community-events/summit/
The Summit is a benefit of AWPP membership which will be available from 15 July 2014. We only have room for 60 attendees so please sign up early to avoid disappointment.
