This afternoon I had one of those "blonde" moments… I read all my email and then mark as unread if I want to do something about it later, or if it’s something I want to come back to later. I also have mail filed in a number of subfolders for various community groups I belong to. So it’s not uncommon for me to have more than 1000 messages in my "Unread" filter view. What I normally do every day is to go to the Unread filter view to see all the mail across my mailbox that I need to review. This is cool because it shows me mail even in subfolders. I can then jump to those mails, and read them or mark the folder as read… well today I did something stupid. I right clicked the Unread Mail filter and selected "Mark All as Read". Dang – what a stupid mistake. Now I have a nice tidy inbox with ALL my mail having been read… be warned… I didn’t know this would work, but it does.
