Spyware Sucks
“There is no magic fairy dust protecting Macs" – Dai Zovi, author of “The Mac Hacker’s Handbook"

www.allmusic.com staff have read my email and visited my blog…

Here’s the proof…

So far I there has been no email contact (unlike Sensis, who responded extremely quickly, and MSN, and AOL, and all the other big names I have helped over the years).

Oh well, one of three things will happen.

1) They’ll get in touch with me and advise me that the advert has been pulled, or I’ll assist them in getting their adverts cleaned up

2) The malicious advertisement will disappear, with allmusic.com not being courteous enough to respond to my email.

3) The advertisement remains, allmusic.com does nothing, and the pressure on them increases because of the negative publicity.

Watch this space….

This may be of interest to those of you who want to know what the malware being offered by deucecleaner via the advertisement on www.allmusic.com actually does to/on your computer…

Spotted on their blog… Yeah, I saw the drop too, but subscribers always seem to drop away on weekends anyway, so I didn’t think that much of it.
