Naughty Adobe!!!

Not only is it impossible for the typical user to disable or change the software update settings for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, the most recent SILENT update of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC also installed an Adobe Acrobat extension to Google Chrome without notice or consent.

To add insult the injury, the extension’s option to “Allow Adobe Acrobat for Chrome to send anonymous usage information to Adobe for product improvement purposes” is enabled by default!

Yes, Google Chrome alerts you that “another program” has installed the extension, without actually telling you WHAT did the installation, and leaves the extension disabled by the default, and you are immediately given the option to remove it, but that is beside the point.

The number of one star reviews, and complaints, in the Chrome Store is growing.

Naughty Adobe. Very, very naughty.
