General information that applies to general aspects of all languages.

Comments

in VB code are denoted with one or more apostrophes (‘) and in C# with double forwardslashes (//) or with forwardslash asterisk for multiple lines (/* [comment of any length] */).

Case sensitivity

The C# language is case-sensitive, the VB languages are not. In C# mymethod, MyMethod and myMethod are all distinctly separate entities. A VB language would consider all three equivalent.
